Admissions Criteria

(A) Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM / MPHW Female), 2 years course :-

1. AGE:- Age for entrance shall be 17-35 years by 30 September current year.
2. Minimum Education : The candidate should have passed 10 years of schooling (10+2 with any stream of the central board of secondary Education or a recognized equivalent public examination). The candidate should have 45% marks in aggregate. (40% for SC & ST candidates)
3. Only female candidates are admitted for this course.
4. A medical fitness certificate from a qualified registerd medical practitioner should accompany the application form.
5. Selection is based upon the merit in 10+2 examination marks.

(B) Genral Nursing & Midwiefry (GNM) 3.5 years

  • Diploma Courses:-
    1. Age: Age of entrance shall be 17 to 35 years on the date of joining.
    2. Minimum Education: The candidate should have passed 12 years of schooling (10+2) or its equivalent, preferrably with science subject.
    The candidate should have atleast 45% marks in aggregate. (40% for SC & ST candidates )
    3. The course is offered only to female candidates.
    4. A medical fitness certificate from a qualified registered medical practitioner should accompany the application form.

    Note: Selection is based upon the merit in 10+2 examination.

  • Common Requirements:
    1. Application must be made on prescribed Form attached with the prospectus.
    2. A certificate of good character from the Headmaster / Principal of the school / college last attendad, should accompany the application.
    3. Six copies of passport size unattested photographs of the students should be attached with the application.
    4. Incomplete application forms recevied after the last Date, will not be considered.
    All certificates & testimonials are subject to verification from the Concerned Board/ University / Authority.

(C) B. Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) 2 years :-

Through Entrance Test conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.
Eligibility: GNM with 10+1 & 10+2.

(D) B. Sc. Nursing (Basic) 4 years :-

Through Entrance Test conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.
Eligibility: 10+2 Medical.

(E) M. Sc. Nursing (2 years) :-

Through Entrance Test conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.
1. Medical Surgical Nursing
2. Psychiatry Nursing
3. Community Health Nursing
4. Pediatrics
5. OBG&GYNAE

Eligibility: B. Sc. Nursing with 1 year Experience.

Fees And Subscriptions :-

The Tuition fees of Rs.40,250/- will be payable at the time of admission for G.N.M., B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) & B.Sc Nursing.

The Tuition fees of Rs.1,75,000/- will be payable at the time of admission for M.Sc. Nursing.

Rules & Regulations:-

1.Tuition Fees is payable in advance and will be non-refundable in full or part on my account whatsoever. If not paid in time the name of the student will be struck off from the College records.
2. Discipline of the institute is to be strictly observed. Disobeying disciline, a student may of fined or expelled from the institute. Decision of the Management committee in this regard will be final.
3. Any harsh or insulting Language used in the College campus or written in the letter may affect the career of the student.
4. Student must check her eligibility while taking admission to particular course.
5. If a student fails to take examinations due to one or the other reason, school shall not entertain any claim for the refund of fees.
6. In all matters the decision of the Principal/DIrector will be final.
7. Students are strictly forbidden to possess any of the following within the institue :-
a) The fire arms or any lethal weapons.
b) The books / journals of excite bases.
c) An addictive or hallucinogenic (mindbending) drugs.
8. College will not be responsible for any delay or postponment of the final examination conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Science on behalf of PNRC.
9. The Principal / Management Committee reserves the right to change the time-table at any time.
10. Leave application shall be submitted through the class teacher only resonable leave will be considered. Application should be signed by the parents / Gaurdian before proceeding on leave. Leave will not be sanctioned telephonically.
11. House examination / tests are complusory. Which contributes the internal assessment of the student.
12. Regular and Punctual attendance is compulsory in lectures, demonstrations, clinic, hospital, day & night duties.
13. Annual attendance of 75% in theory and clinical experience is required.
14. Students, whose progress and conduct is not considered satisfactory will not be allowed to appear for the examination.
15. Student will not take part in political activity of any kind during the course of her studies at the Institute.
16. Students will not be allowed to entertain their parents / guardians/ relatives/ friends during the college hours and clinical area.
17. All the students shall comply with institution rules and regulations.
18. Students are not allowed to paste notices within the institution and are forbidden to address to any outside authority directly. Any student infringing this rule will be suspended.
19. Students must pay for damages caused by them to libray books, lab articles or other institutional property.
20. The Governing Body of the society reserves the right to add or delete any other regulation whenever required.
21. After successful completion of the course, the Institute does not guarantee any employment. However the certificate awarded to them will make them eligible for employment.
22. The student will have to pay all field-training charges if imposed by the Government of Punjab.
23. S.A.S.Nagar courts reserve the right for jurisdiction in all matters.
24. If the candidate discontinued the training in between she has to pay the fee for the whole trainging period.


Hostel Rules:-


1. Student will be assigned a seat in hostel if available.
2. No student shall keep any unauthorized person in the room. If a student is found to have a person in her room, she will be expelled from the school.
3. Each student must keep the room neat and clean alloted to her. She will be held responsible for any damage to room and furniture.
4. The main gate of the hostel will be closed at 8:00 pm in winter and 9:00 pm in summer.
5. Cell phones, Electric stoves, Room Heaters or any other Electrical Appliances are not allowed to be used in Hostel rooms.
6. Students are required to pay their Mess charges by the 7th of every month positively failing which they have to leave the hostel.
7. The parents will write the names and give passport size photos of relatives who would visit the student (not more than 5 members including parents). The warden will have the sole right to allow any visitor.
8. No resident of the hostel will remain absent from the hostel without the written permission of the warden.
9. Visitors are not allowed to visit the hostel.
10. All lights nad fans must be switched off when leaving the rooms otherwise a fine of Rs. 100/- per day will be charged.
11. No hostel servant shall be sent to keep any valuables. If there is any damage or they are lost, the authorities will not be responsible.
13. Visitors are allowed on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 7.00 pm & Sunday between 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Management Committee, whose decision will be final in every aspect, may be approched in case of any emergency.
List of Items to be arranged by the hostlers:
Blanket and Quilt, Mattress, Bedcover, Bed sheets, Trunk with lock, Bucket, Flask, Pillow covers, Plastic bucket with mug, Tub, Tourch, Mosquito Net, Stationary, Scissors etc.

Disciplinary Action:-

The student will befined expelled from the Institute without any prior notice / intimation if found to be:
1. Disobedience shown toward prescribed rules and regulations.
2. Serious misconduct or no progress assigned in the wards.
3. Taking part , directly or indirectly, in any uncalled for activities or disturbance created in the Institute or staging a strike / mass bunk.
Library:
a The books will be issued on the priorty of demand.
Only two books at time will be issued to each student for a period of 10 Days only. Fine of Rs. 5/- per day will be charged if books are not returned in time.
The books damaged / lost shall be replaced by the student.
